This piece displays a giant Cairn marking the boundary between Algonquin and Iroquois peaks in the Adirondack Mountains. These large Cairns, along with some smaller ones, are built by trail stewards and volunteers to help in wayfinding and mark summits, while others are placed by hikers and are not authorized as they disrupt ecosystems and can ultimately get someone lost. Hence the title “Can I Kick It’ as you are encouraged to kick these unauthorized Cairns over.
